The Most Venerable Pa-Auk Tawya Sayadaw Bhaddanta Āciṇṇa


The Most Venerable Pa-Auk Tawya Sayadaw Bhaddanta Āciṇṇa, also commonly referred to as “Pa-Auk Sayadaw” (“the Sayadaw”), is the Abbot and principal teacher of Pa-Auk Tawya Forest Monastery, Mawlamyine, Mon State, Myanmar.“Sayadaw” is a Burmese honorific title meaning “respected teacher.”

About Bhikkhu Revata


Bhikkhu Revata was born in 1971 in Mawlamyine, Myanmar. He is the eighth son of OoThāTun and Daw Mya Sein. He received his bachelor’s degree from Yangon University in 1994 and independently taught computer technology for five years. He was ordained as a Theravādabhikkhu at Pa-Auk Tawya in 1999

Born 8 February 1950, Venerable Vimala (Taze Sayadaw) was ordained as samanera at age 9 by ET-Taw Village Sayadaw, The Most Venerable Nandiya as preceptor, and began his Bhuddhist Pali literratury studies
